Me and My Mind

I stand in front of the mirror
On this particular night of nights
Feeling lower than ever before.
Think I finally lost the inner fight.

Nobody else is here to comfort me.
As I begin this decent into my dark ways.
So I stand here, knowing just what to do.
I look at myself and this is what I say....

Take a good look at yourself.
Do you even like what you see?
This is it, it's now or never,
Take off that mask and come to me.

I'll take your hand and we'll go far away.
Float above the clouds to a special place.
Silent and free of their deafening voices.
It's time to change that frown on your face.

I take a look into your sad sad eyes.
I wish I could take it all away for you.
It hurts me more than you will ever know.
But it's time you do what you've needed to.

I touch your skin for one last time.
Trying to take away this ugly disease.
But it's embedded too far inside.
Deeper than a million endless seas.

I take a step close to the edge.
You plead for me to turn and stay.
But I have to many reasons to leave.
I just can't be here another day.

I take another step closer.
I can hear your tears hit the ground.
I close my eyes, such a silence,
As together, we fall down, down, down.....
