Want Her Back.

by Spoken Silence   Nov 10, 2007

I told you everything there was to tell,
I told you my life story,
But you still left.
My heart followed once you walked out the door.
I can still see you standing there,
With your bags packed ready to go.
I stood there crying,
Begging you to stay,
I held on to you as hard as I could.
But you still went away.
Out on the lawn, you screamed at me.
The neighbors walked out wanting to see.
You got in that cab and never looked back.
You left with my heart and my soul.
I can live without that.
But the one thing that you took from me,
That I can never get over,
You took my child,
And I want her back.

(I don't actually have a child, but I was the child that was taken away.)
