Truly the One

by Amy   Nov 11, 2007

From the east side of the Potomac, to Washington DC,
The Patriotic United States, full of love, spirit, and glee, America, America, you are truly the place for me.

Sweet cherry blossoms spice the air of city blocks and patterned squares,
Down for a stroll in central park, or sitting at Broadway Avenue,
America, America, is truly the home for me and you.

Spread your wings and fly, under the Brooklyn Bridge,
Fly past the Rocky mountains, to the mountains called Blue Ridge.

Open your ears and listen, do you hear the oceans roar?Do you hear the whispers of the clouds?Do you hear the eagles soar?

America, America, we pledge our hearts to thee,
America,America, your with our souls to sleep.
America,America, you are truly the one for me!!!
