Fire!

by Eclipse   Nov 11, 2007

I need time!
Don't need alcohol or sex or drugs
I don't need help
Nor coffee
But I do need TNT and nitroglycerin
Explosives like gasoline
With lots of octane

Fire!

I don't need friends
Nor methamphetamine
I need no doctors and medicine won't do
I don't need women, just Vaseline
Explosives like gasoline
With lots of octane

Fire!

Give me Fire!
It burns in my veins
It sleeps in my tears
It walks with my soul
Heart and kidneys are catalysts

Fire!

To get rid of something precious
Incinerate it with a lot of red
To see something never again
Let it swim in petrol

Fire!
I need Fire

To me it's a great poem in a destructive way. I've found the structure is good enough, something new in concept. Interesting indeed.

(whispers take out the cussing) I like it a lot. It flirts with my pyromaniac side.

Heh. The cussing makes it very...you, not the poet essence-you. Too many joining words would be my only critique, it makes sense and tells a story, too structured?
The idea is great, the development, the growing structure....it builds in a great way, you use some wonderful words...

*is looking into it too deep*
    *stops*
I like it. I like fire.
