Shiny Selene

by NightFlyer   Nov 11, 2007

Your shiny mist, empress of the night sky,
Radiates down beyond the mind's eye,
Spins ancient tales in the wind,
To a sleeping world and our dreams within,
Mandolin of the night, your streaming rays,
Unleash the winds in Summer haze,
Call me up through layers of dreams,
Sing me a song, shiny Selene,
Your dream scape smile, in depths I climb,
To the furthest heights of nighttime sky,
Laughing ripples in silver seas,
Float down from the sky your mysteries.

Thank you for your kind comment to my tribute poem to the Moon. I picked the name 'Selene' because she is the Moon goddess in Greek mythology.

Wow...Great poem! It's deep and mysterious. I don't see why no one has rated. :) I can relate, though. 5/5!
