The Beach

by Once an Angel   Nov 11, 2007

Crystal diamonds, glistening grains of sand,
strewn across the shore's lifeless span.
Tenderly kissed by the water;s icy breath,
the glittering surface over the shadowy depths.

The firmament cries out tears into the pool,
like gem stone droplets, her heavenly crown jewels.
Rippling out in circles, infusing with the waves motion,
slowly swallowing up and drowning away its emotion.

All accompany the frozen figure drenched by rain,
and mingles with the sorrow so saturated with pain.
The shadow limping along the beach of memory,
tainting the future with the past's empty legacy.

Wow that was excellent, I love the rhyming and the usage of vocabulary. It flowed nicely and it made sense. Although the part when you say 'frozen and rainy' kind of takes it away for the beach. But I really liked this one. 5/5
