Cross Me Off Your List

I don't think time could make things worse,

but Ill leave that up to you, of course,

some holes are better left undug,

less things to get into to screw things up.

But when it comes right down to it,

it's hard enough to find someone to do it,

that's why you have me, just me,

to accomplish the things people only dream.

Weird enough to think of the fact that,

once you've made your choice, you cant go back.

but Ill leave that one up to you,

don't forget that I have feelings too.

Which would you prefer? It will be a disaster,

either way you look at it you'll go blind faster,

so, close your eyes and stretch out your hands,

feel for heat to help avoid the flames.

Everything I thought you meant, should be,

everything you've ever said, but won't be,

anything less than a lie in a bed,

nothing more than a stitch to mend.

So will you tell everyone you think might care,

that I'm the one that chose to dare,

instead of taking the truth you couldn't give,

and cross another off your list.
