What I've learnt

by velvet kissesâ„¢   Nov 12, 2007

What I've learnt; is that when I fall
people will stop and stare
and when I need my loved ones
they'll never be there

What I've learnt; is that when I cry
I cry alone
and when I seek guidance
I'm on my own

What I've learnt; is that when I'm bleeding
my wounds will never mend
and this path of misery I'm walking
will never have an end

What I've learnt; is that when I set my hopes on something
it will blow up in my face
and while I pick up the pieces
you'll be gone without a trace

What I've learnt; is that this world is too much for me
its injustice has brought me to my knees
and in this demolished world I can no longer stay
not like anyone is going to miss me anyway

Beautifully written. You did a great job with the rhyme scheme and format. But what I really enjoyed was the true emotion and voice. I love poems that makes the reader feel as if he/she is the writer. Amazing job. 5/5
