O Lover! My Lover!

by Laura Lamarca   Nov 12, 2007

O lover! My lover! Our gallant fight is won,
old frowns have trodden every path, the truth we sought has come,
the road was long, to hear our song, the people all are praising,
while fulfilled hearts, the needy feel, the future now is singing.
O my soul! Soul! Soul!
O the loving hues of life,
where on your cheek my kisses play
dancing without strife.

O lover! My lover! Stand up and see my pride,
stand up - for you, all love is borne - to give warmth inside,
for you embraced all gifted hopes - for you faith is a-glowing;
for you I breathe - in essence true - all feeling that's a-growing.
Here lover! Dear lover!
My arm about your waist,
it is with smiles that in your sight,
I've fallen without haste.

My lover always answers with lips so soft and full,
my lover always feels my arm and its magnetic pull,
old frowns once trodden long and far, our gallant fight now won,
from fearful trip on every path, the truth we sought has come.
Exalt thyself and see my pride!
O the loving hues of life,
where on your cheek my kisses play
dancing without strife.
