Smile

I sit here
Tears running down my face
Mascara smeared across my cheeks.
In break down mode.
scared to open my eyes
And see something that could crush my every dream.
Then I hear your voice.
As you say one word to me.
That one word holds so much meaning.
Who knew 5 letters could be so powerful?
But when put together
And when coming out of your mouth
It makes me feel
As if nothing else exists.
This one word is shown on faces each day.
This one word may not even be expressed into words.
But just by a simple glance.
A 5 letter word is just merely an expression.
But as a word you change the meaning.
So as I sit here with tears running down my face.
And you come up and say these 5 letters
I can�t help but think
Of how much it means to me.
And how much it shows you care.
After hearing this my day is completely different.
As you look me in the eye and say SMILE!
