Is moving forward
Moving towards the nearest door and going out
With the thought of not looking back
Not ever
Even if your heart is knocking for another glance
Saying its okay to beg for another chance
Goodbye is hard
If a person can't let go
If one person can't accept
Like this girl that still wishes for miracles to show.
A miracle that would tell her she's dreaming.
Something that would tell her nothing really happened.
She was just hallucinating
That in the morning she'd wake up and things will fall back into place.
But goodbye is harder
When this girl finally woke up
She stopped denying
And slowly realizes
That it all wasn't a dream
That for weeks she still hasn't slept
Her pain tells her she was more than wide awake
And saw that things really fell into a place
But into the places that she never wished.
But it's hardest when this girl started to cry
Because she saw the hardest part
For when she stepped out of bed and headed for the door
She couldn't lift her arms to pull the knob.
Her limbs were weak and could hardly grip
Then she started to go weaker,
And found herself crying even more
She then screams for a way out.
Know why she can't open the door?
Because she cant bear the thought saying goodbye
She couldnt find the courage to move ahead
Without ever seeing this man again
Without ever being beside this man again
Now I tell you her biggest problem
She thinks she had tried enough.
Enough effort to move forward
But she's totally mistaken.
Yes, she tried to think of moving on.
But it all remains as that- a thought.
And now, she's still trapped.
She screams for help, though.
She cries for redemption.
I hope it's not yet too late till she realize
That sometimes it's not enough to ask for help and cry
Sometimes she really has to try
And accept that some things aren't anymore worth keeping
That no matter how we wanted to plead
Leaving remains what's best.
This girl still has to realize,
Some things are worth saying goodbye.
