To Soon

Memories of how all of us use to kick it, it seems like just yesterday.
The way you use to crack jokes and play.
The way you would talk crazy and laugh.
Now are just memories of the past.
No more going swimming in the summer.
No more hearing you talk about being rich, famous and driving a black hummer.
No more walking around on your block.
Now it just a new memory of how and why you got shot.
Thinking about what your family and other friends are going through.
Knowing that you're gone and there's nothing I can say or do.
Just sitting and crying all our eyes deep red.
Never thought I would here the words "Demetrian is dead. "
Knowing that you are now in heaven watching us from above the stars and moon.
Knowing you were to young and died to soon.
