The puzzle of your past..

Pick up the missing pieces from your puzzle of your past,

Are you ever gonna figure why you run away so fast?

Are you ever gonna trust them even though they say you can?

Are you gonna let them in, make them try to understand.

You run inside this maze, when you pretend you know the way,

You turn to run the moment someone thinks you've come to stay.

This antitrust, this fear you have, is it ever gonna stop?

Will it ever keep you happy, faking smiles, is it enough?

Faking, aching, acting like you see the turns,

Breaking, taking, just to hide away the burns.

So unattached, so young, so free,

So beautiful in all your fear,

Are you ever gonna notice someone else is also there?

Pick up the missing pieces of the mirror that you broke,

Don't cut yourself, don't cry like that,

Eventually you'll choke.

Are you ever gonna stop them from disarming you like that?

Will you grow, or will you submit to those,

Who always treat you bad?

Why do you surrender just because they let you in?

Always someone kicks you in the face, it's so unfair,

Why keep playing with the fire, when you know you'll never win?

Eventually you'll burn again, and the bruise is always there.

Pick up the pieces from your puzzle of your past.

The ones you trusted then is gone,

And I'll be here to last.

Are you ever gonna trust me even when you know you can?

Are you ever gonna let me in, enough to understand.
