Dirty Little Secret

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Nov 13, 2007

You held my head beneath water,
Let me gasp for a breath of air,
Told me it would all blow over,
And you`d get me out of there.

You looked into my eyes and lied,
As you wiped away my falling tears,
Held me close, as I died in your arms;
And you chased away my fears.

Stone by stone, you tore down,
The wall I built around my heart,
And line by line, you pushed me,
So that you could break me apart.

With a smile, you held my hand,
Leading me down this path with you,
But you abandoned me here,
Leaving me with the stories you drew.

You left me, mouth taped shut,
In the memory of your past,
I`m just your dirty little secret,
And forever is fading fast.

[If this is confusing at all, it is about falling for a guy who keeps you a secret]

That stanza was incredible! I loved it...it was extremely powerful and just horrifically beautiful (beauty in sadness). And the whole thing was composed very well. Great job!
