Passion The Rose Left Behind

by Normal is the Watchword   Nov 14, 2007

Painted black: Stripped White
Tangled nest of autumns' shred
Of spring faded; of air thinned
Of freckled flesh; of darkened cloth
-Twirl the flower to feel the thorn-

Wind hissed: Vibrated; Punched
Phone rang, rang, switched off
Feet pound, trample, kick the stone
Lower than high, higher than low
-Twirl the flower to feel the thorn-

Hour kissed: And Hour missed
-'Til the passion was ignored-

[Virginity: A rare gift or thrown about mess? A flower is both pure but so filled with it's own insecure thorns. Freckles look so nice in the summer but could regret keep us covered up in our own darkness. Is the street so busy we can not hear our thoughts and conform to our media's view of who we should be.]

    Very unique way of writting
(but that i'm not the first to say ^^)
needed a second reading to understand it all, and a bit of thinking. had to get into the poem, and words, to get the message hiding within.
but after , really makes you ponder.
the flow is just breathtaking. using ponctuation to guide the reader.
The images are so intense. Many senses are used in this poem, which makes it so expressive.

really hope i get the time to read your other poems.
