Didn't have a clue

by TwilightSecrets   Nov 15, 2007

At only 8 years old she didn't have a clue
as she peeked out her window to take in the view
Her daddy's suitcases packed, he gave her mum one last kiss
Then entered the bus there with the doors shutting on a hiss

the girl sat on her bed, her brow furrowed in thought
Then she picked up the teddy her dad had bought
It said on the tummy, "We'll meet again one day, I swear."
"I'm going to war, but remember I'll always care"

5 years later this blond beauty sat on her bed
hugging the teddy bear remembering what daddy had said
Her memories had disappeared she didn't even remember his name
Damn it daddy this was a really sick game

walking back to her house, she saw a small bus
Her daddy was home! Remember not to cause a fuse
She sprinted to the house but stopped dead
When she saw mummy crying on the army commander Fred

He said that her daddy had died a week before coming home
He said, i would have saved him if i had known
This young girl at heart, she didn't have a clue
All she knows is this, "Daddy i miss you"
