Deep deep dreamless sleep

by lisabrighteyes   Nov 15, 2007

Laying down
I summon sleep,
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
I send out pleas
Of longing to God,
Please please let me sleep,
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
Every morning my eyes open,
I think of sleep
A deep deep dreamless sleep.

I want to be left alone!
Alone to sleep,
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
Yet needed needed,
Needed I am.

Every morning my eyes open
I feel the weight,
The weighing weight of the world on my shoulders.
I want to let go!
again I feel the weight,
The weighing weight of the world on my shoulders.
If I give in,
Then I'll fail
Fail fail my hearts closest I'll fail!

For them I smile.
Yet my heart summons sleep,
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
I pray to God
Give me strength,
Or let me sleep.
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
Every morning
My eyes open,
I pick up the world and think of sleep,
A deep deep dreamless sleep.
