What Do I Do With My Heart? (Double Triolet)

by Jenni Marie   Nov 15, 2007

Recalling happier memories in the past
Inner pain raging like an angry river
Incredibly naive to think we would last
Recalling happier memories in the past
Mistreated my heart, shattered like glass
Thinking of sweet kisses, tremble and shiver
Recalling happier memories in the past
Inner pain raging like an angry river

Now I'm sitting with tears in these eyes
Tell me, what do I do with my heart?
For you broke it in pieces with selfish lies
Now I'm sitting with tears in these eyes
Used me shamelessly, now realized
World's become colorless, grey and dark
Now I'm sitting with tears in these eyes
Tell me, what do I do with my heart?

I really love where you went with the title. I know this form is a very difficult one, you have done an amazing job. The flow is impeccable and rolls off the tongue flawlesly.
    Beautiful wording and imagery.

"Now I'm sitting with tears in these eyes
Tell me, what do I do with my heart?"

^Excellent choice as your repeating lines and also as the ending! Thanks for entering the contest! take care, Debbie
