Little Grenades

by Mousie   Nov 16, 2007

As the clouds roll in
The raindrops begin to fall,
Little grenades, he calls them
Begin to plop, plop, plop.

Laughter at the common sound
Relaxes the tension in our lives,
Once again as we grasp hands
To feel the love that we share.

Time seems to linger
On the moment that counts,
Letting our minds rest from thought
As we relinquish our strength.

And once again we strain to hear
If only to laugh a little more,
Little grenades, as he calls them
Begin to plop, plop, plop.

written for a contest, let me know what you think.

    I'm going to be honest.
It didn't seem like a poem, more of a story put in poem form.

Which isn't a bad thing, but I'm not too fond of those types of poems.
    Many, many others are though.
You did do a great job, don't get me wrong. . but, it's just not my type of poem.

Now, since I think that it's deserves, 100%, 5.5 . .. That's what I'm giving. I won't have my likes and dislikes making your scores lower.
    It does deserve that. (:
