I need your help

Guys i need your help more than anything right now...so this guy i absolutley love (the poem Forbidden is about him) as you can see i like him alot alot...my best friend told me she broke up with him so i started to like him and then i started to love him..then she told me that she was still going out with him...it hit me like a big yellow school bus and i thought i was going to break down and cry right there, should i still love him or stop for my best friend?
