Through the Mirrormask

by Silver Bells   Nov 16, 2007

Through the Mirrormask he went
And never did come back
That fateful Autumn evening
When Life was dressed in black

The child a mask he held in hand
Then fitted to his face
Doomed to leave behind this land
His dog it stood in place

Then appeared a crystal pool
With water shining clear
Unknown to him he was a tool
He shed a single tear

And then the Mirrormask it took
That little life away
The little boy was only four
That's what the people say

And of the dog its master gone
Life held no more of joy
The dog saw Death when the sun reached dawn
And joined the little boy
