Trust My Instincts, Follow Thy Heart

by Sherry Lynn   Nov 17, 2007

There are things that come up in life that is beyond our control.
There are also things that we let escape us
without taking a moment to understand why.
I have learned many things over the last year,
some I wish I never knew and others I hold close.

Life is short, too short actually.
I always thought that I would know what I would do
when faced with certain things in my life,
truth is that you never know until that time comes
even then you are still unsure.

God gives us strength during certain trials
then there are those times that we face our trials
feeling as though there is no strength to be found.
There are moments of happiness and moments of tears,
the end what matters is who we turn to during both of those moments.

Take time with your family, your parents,
siblings, children, and also your friends.
All those you love hold them close and tight.
Be quick to forgive and to remember the good instead of the bad.

Life is funny those that you think you will lose soon you keep,
while those you think will be there for a while longer you lose.
It just does not seem fair,
I suppose that is God's way of reminding us
always love everyone including our enemies.

Funny how when you pray so long for something
then when it finally comes you find that you no longer want it.
Instead, you find that you just want more time
One more day, one more minute, or more second.
One more chance to live life and love all over again.

I actually took this from a letter that I wrote....

This piece is full of emotion and compassion that was written from your heart and soul. The wisdom that you share is to be taken in and kept close to your heart knowing each may be the last. May peace and joy fill your heart each and everyday.
