Nothing Left To Lose

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 17, 2007

Stripped of all my pride,
Broken, on the floor,
Nothing left to take,
I won't give you anymore.

You turned my love to hate,
In your fight to break me down,
You thought you were a king,
But your head, it bore no crown.

You thought it would be easy,
My spirit could be broken,
But there's nothing you could do,
No words you could have spoken.

You may have held my heart.
You could have touched my soul,
Whether or not I'm with you,
Always I'll be whole.

Looking in the mirror,
Not scared of what I see,
I know this kind of comfort,
For you, just cannot be.

One day your time will come,
And you will have to choose,
Can you give yourself to love,
When there's nothing left to lose?

Amazing flow of emotions... The words in this poem is beautifully intense and expressed in vivid sorrow... The power of your imagination really captivated me... And the flow of words is flawlessly enchanting...
