No Matter What They Say; Dont Believe A Word

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 17, 2007

Laying idle, you're fading fast,
A refugee to this mist,
The world a witness to your crimes,
Your mind begins to twist.

The stars are falling down from heaven,
Your body holds no soul,
Your dying conscience knows no shame,
You have no self control.

You find it strange how all has changed,
Yet life somehow remains,
Haunted by the ghosts of past,
Bound by invisible chains.

We praise these Gods we can not see,
Pray out of desire,
Unaware how far we're slipping,
Alone amidst the fire.

We burn for freedom, we burn for death,
Dying for every cause,
Watch our neighbour with suspicious eyes,
And dance upon his flaws.

That is such a good poem, it really is. It seems to have a mystical effect to it, and i like it. Great work!
