Our Beloved

by Michael D Nalley   Nov 17, 2007

Our Beloved

He called me once with a heavy heart
Mourning the time we had been apart
Speaking to me of my dear sister
He told me just how much he missed her

Besides the love of our Lord, there seems to be no other
Love greater than family especially that of the mother
All born of the flesh will die mysteriously the flesh we love
Remains, as the soul will fly to return to the Spirit far above

Just known as uncle Dave to some.
Niece's and nephew's loved to see him come
We all love him so, imagine how much more God does
We should dare not ask providence why just because

Sometimes it seems we have lost a friend
While in the greater truth it is not the end
Please forgive us for missing you
Even though we know our time's not through
