Abandoned

Do you see that girl
all alone there
abandoned on the streets
cuz nobody cared

Shes only 14
so innocent and young
but shes been through so much
and its only just begun

Sleeping in the cold
going hungry every day
wishing upon a star
wishing her life away

Shes looks so frail
she looks so weak
she can never seem to find
the love that she seeks

She crys a lot
and wonders why
god has abandoned her
and left her to die?

When it gets dark
she feels so alone
shes so scared
cuz shes all on her own

Her clothes are dirty
and full of tears
she feels ashamed
when she cant escape their stares

She feels like shes on fire
and she cant avoid their eyes
she hears the things they whisper
and all of it are lies

The rumours spread like wildfire
they treat her like sh**t
inside she begins to die
slowly bit by bit

And there she sits
abandoned till the day
thats shes taken by the angels
and her life drifts away
