Shadows

by sara   Nov 18, 2007

How dare you say you need me,
When you look and turn away,
When the dark of never ending night,
Is leaking into day.

When shadows find they're only lonely,
Walking in the sun,
The choices that we didn't make,
Determine if we've won.

When days drag into lifetimes,
And lifetimes turn to sand,
We hate to be reminded,
We without a maker stand.

I dare to say I never was,
And never will to come,
Walking tall,
We rise and fall,
And dreams are lost for some.

But soon we see,
That though we plea,
We come and we are through,
Grand illusions, deep contusions,
...We'd hate them if we knew.
