Perfection was a Drop of Blood

by The Queen of Spades   Nov 19, 2007

Perfection was a taste
Of your ivory skin
Breaking quietly
In my hungry mouth
I felt the world
Spinning fast
A whirling void
Of dark crimson
The shade of night

Perfection was the smell
Of your luscious presence
Drawing me in,
Keeping me captivated
I lost my will
To run away to the moon
For your scent
Kept me warm
I wanted to be near

Perfection was your eyes
That enrapturing glint
Hypnotizing the organ
Where my heart would be
The sensations
Of human mortality
Still linger, still dwell
Leaving me frightened
In a stage of red liquidation

Perfection was, a drop of blood
In my mouth
From your enthusiastic corpse
Giving me heat, giving me life
In such beautiful ways
A dichotomy of innocence and evil

You really know how to pick a great title. Most of your poems have eye-catching title. Beside that you really know how to write!!!

That stanza's what I loved the most. I love your wordage. Another 5/5 job!!!
