A little too late

by Dee   Nov 19, 2007

Tonight I see the changes
That you have finally made
But honey it is too little
Too little and much too late

You wore your wedding band
On a necklace inside your shirt
Your display of marriage
Was new and not accepted on this earth

For when people stand at the alter
And take those wedding vows
They place rings on each other's fingers
And they display their status out loud

But today you made a change
Seven years since we met
You bought a ten dollar symbol
As you are feeling my regret

Well it is really took a long time
For you to act like my mate
But honey it is too little
Too little and much too late
