I Am Thankful

This was amazing. It's got to be one of the best Thanksgiving day poems that I have ever read on this site. :) Your love for these people clearly shows and I can tell just by reading this poem that you are grateful for what you have. A very inspiring and beautiful write. Overall: 5.5

Well it's simply a wonderful piece about the things you not only hold dear .. but the things you are grateful you have. You really lets the reader into your head with this piece and shows them what means the most to you personally.

With vivid imagery you show the reader not only what you are glad you have; but also why you are glad you have it. I think it really gives this piece the personal touch, that others of this type are severley lacking. Rather than being the run-of-the-mill thankyou poem .. you explain it to the reader.

One slight flaw for me (and it is slight) I would have really liked to see the structure follow the poem from start to finish. It's a really nice structure that you set yourself out with ... yet you don't adhere to it completely. I understand that the last stanza is almost a summary - but how nice would it have been to have the same structure all the way through?!

Overall very nice emotional piece that ~really~ lets the reader into your world.

I love the way you express that you care about every one. I can relate to every stanza. It would have been better with rhymes, but it's too damn great so it's still 5/5!!!

This has so much care and sincerity in it. I've never seen a poem like this. 5/5
