Beautiful Nightmare a.k.a the Vampire

by ihrtschlepper   Nov 19, 2007

Terror in the night,
Glory in my eyes
Glowing in the dark,
A vampire com to kill me.

A sadistic beast,
It is said to be.
Feeding on human flesh
A monster in every fashion

With demons in its gaze
I gaze at a deathly beauty.
Its come to get me,
And i just stop and stare
Into the face of a beautiful nightmare

Eyes that burn with thirst
Glowing purple in the moonlight
Skin as pale as death
But oh so smooth and soft

The body of an athlete
So hard and cold
I lean foreward and touched hands
Disbelieving my bravity

The holy terror of it,
The great and terrible beauty,
So scary and yet so beautiful

The hand i hold
Has taken so many lives
I should feel scared
But all i feel is pity

So i just stop and stare
At the vampire thats come to kill me,
But gone in a flash
Is my beautiful nightmare

Hmm.. you describe the character perfectly terrifying, i would like to ask are there any deeper meaning behind the poem? or you simply would like to describe a fearsome myth?.. anyway, it's nice.

I really loved this piece alot. Vampires are really interesting me at the moment as you proberly noticed from my poem. This was dark and intense holding terror within each line. Loved the iamgery you portrayed I thought it was really vivid. A great poem. well done ~Mel
