Souls Redeemed

by Dots   Nov 19, 2007

The heart dangerously slows,
The mind clouded by vast realities of life,
Where chaos and confusion remain supreme,
And where I sit to the right as Prince Hamlet.

Unable to act,
Unable to decide,
Unable to focus,
Questioning existence.

My soul split in two,
Pieces and memories tear at the heart,
Tears pour out my ghostly face,
As I sit waiting in the dark.

Unable to move,
Unable to control myself,
Unable to live,
Staring at the cold concrete.

Then the tears turn from anguish to joy,
A smile tears through the moonlit park,
And all the moments flash through my mind,
Of which I will not take back for the world.

The moments of happiness,
The moments of laughter,
The moments of holding her close,
The moments of love.

They are ours.
