Life

by Kelvin Williams aka Bloodhound   Nov 19, 2007

As I took the rattle
And attacked Mother's head
I laughed, dribbling Snapple
Swears, Mother said

The bookbag full of things
Strapped on my back
First bell, final bell rings
I return with A's in the sack

A freshman, or fresh meat
My first love, Alex
Perfect for me
Cupid strikes a mallet

Washington D.C.
Howard University
Me, my girl, our games and stories
Shared by the immense diversity

Sitting on the bench
Drinking sweet tea
Watching our kids
Get rich on T.V

Chilling at home
Creating sickness remedies
Living richer than Rome
Recollecting old memories

Body in the grave
Soul in Heaven
By Jesus, I've been saved
Living like age 11

Now wherever you are
Either stanza 2 or 4
Take your part
And live it more.
