In Love and Obsessed

He never really had someone
Who was his one and only
So when he found this angel
He didn't want to be lonely.

She thought he was a nice guy
And gave the date a go
But she'd rather be just friends
So she let him know.

The answer was a shock to him
He thought that she had lied
But when he went to pick her up
She'd already had a ride.

He was furious, humiliated
But he loved her too much
To give up on this romance
That was his mind's crutch.

He brought her flowers everyday
Called her up on the phone
Though she asked him to stop
He didn't leave her alone.

She soon found somebody knew
And his heart bled only black
He knew he couldn't have her
And wouldn't get her back

He was in love and obsessed
But rejected all the same
He didn't like the feeling
And thought it a cruel game

He tried to break them up
But it was to no avail
His mind was not right
And his heart, too frail.

The counselor's at college
Tried to help him out
But they were no match
For all his created doubts.

So now he's in a place
Where everything's routine
And the chances for true love
Are never to be seen.

(about someone who needs actual help for a mental illness that allows them to become too obsessed with others)
