I wake up from a warm deep sleep
it's 7:30 yet its dark out
i look out the window
and see the ground gleaming
what a new white blanket of snow
winter has taken over
soon jack frost will come
spreading joy to young kids
with his designs left on your windows
the ground is slippery
covered with ice
little kids slip as they hurry to school
a little kid cries because they fell to hard
people bundle up hoping for spring
but winter has just arrived
and is taking over
