Where is the man

by Cathy   Nov 20, 2007

Looking at that blank stare
knowing your not there
someone else has took your place
Im not looking at the same handsome face

The eyes on you now, full of ice
once they looked so innocent and nice
now theres that look that full of hate
one so different I can't relate

Your smile once sweet that hypnotized me
hidden beneath that person, now I can't see
where is the man I met and loved before
who is this stranger knocking at my door

Your so different its scary i dont know what to expect
this new person in front of me, I refuse to accept
bring back those smiles, take aways all them tears
bring back the man I loved all these years.

Such a beautiful yet sad piece.. one that is very easy to relate to.. Change is often painful and when it comes to love its heartbreaking. A very heartfelt poem.. great job!

    Cathy,

People do this on purpose...change their attidtude dramatically just to scare you away.
Underneath they are still the same but they don't want you to see or contact that part of them because it might cause them to chance their mind when you succeed to break through this wall they have put up. So..they put on an act to make to going away part easier for themselves.

    Beautiful poem!

    Take care,

    5/5 Ingrid
