Paint it Black [Trijan Refrain]

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Nov 20, 2007

Ceramic hearts, they softly cry;
From the pain they endure,
A crack: from every good-bye --
Nit-picking at the pure.
Paint it black now, to match your heart,
Whisper your lies, tear me apart;
................................Paint it black now,
................................Paint it black now,
Pick the candidate for the part.

Ceramic hearts, they softly cry;
In the dead of the night,
With every beat, they bleed dry;
Building this obscene sight.
Paint it black now, symbolize death;
Choke me of my words and my breath.
................................Paint it black now,
................................Paint it black now,
And sing sweet lullabies of death.

Ceramic hearts, they softly cry;
From silly teenage games,
Hold me close to you, watch me die,
As my tears douse the flames.
Paint it black now, to match the day,
It wreaks of death, these games we play;
................................Paint it black now,
................................Paint it black now,
Laugh, as you lead my heart astray.

    WOW! Loved this piece. It's sad but so good. Each piece you do is so easy to relate to, even if I've never been there, it's like your poem expresses it so well I feel I have. You're an amazing poet!
