Perfect two

by Alison   Nov 20, 2007

Arms around each other so tight
Rain falls from the black sky

Standing in the wave of the crowd
kissing in the rain
not having to show off or be proud
it's so genuine
people stop and stare
but they don't even see them standing there

in their world there is only two
in this world, a love so true

the happiness in their eyes is obvious
passersby stop dumbfounded

jealously overlooking
so young
so real

soaking wet,
they don't feel the rain

such simple compliments
bring such joy
smiles beaming
heartbeats synchronized

on this cold night
they warm each other

strangers stop and smile
couples are remind of their young love

the town now empty
two alone on this rainy night
they are their warmth
they are the light
they are their own world
this rainy night
listening to each other's heartbeats
arms wrapped around each other so tight

A love like in the storybooks
genuine and true
they are their own world
the perfect two.
