Pale Blue Eyes

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 21, 2007

They glowed each time she smiled,
They whispered by the fire,
Lost behind her soulful gaze,
Burning with desire.

She was your siren on the rocks,
Destined to strike land,
No more floating on the clouds,
Alone you've come to stand.

You took for granted everything,
She ever gave to you,
Now cursed to hold the memory,
Of eyes so pale and blue.

Wow. It was very short, but I think that made it even better.
    "You took for granted everything,

Now cursed to hold the memory,
Of eyes so pale and blue."
This was a great way to end the poem. I may have clicked on it for the title (my eyes are an unusually pale shade of blue), but I continued reading it for the beauty of it. 5/5

Beautiful.. Great way to start a poem.. Though it is short, it delivers a clear message... Excellent perception in expressing emotions...

    A delightful read... 5/5!
