Avoiding You

by Carrie   Nov 22, 2007

I could really have used that pat on the back.
I'm wading the in the depths of new lyrics
retelling the thoughts I've been over thinking.
/no one's ever there to take you home./
I knew it was right to give up that moment.
I'm planning on drowning my sorrows soon
forgetting the urges I shouldn't be feeling.
/we pass just close enough to touch./
I hated envying that close embrace.
I'm afraid of these lonely intentions
leading to ideas I shouldn't be dreaming.
/to do what we have been forbidden./
I wished this all would pass quickly.
I'm worrying over my random impulses
avoiding an act I've been headed toward.
/who gets burned for holding you?/

I love Dashboard Confessional. You did a great job putting their lyrics into this. It's really awesome. 5/5
