You try to fit in, Buy all the expensive clothes, Hang out with the popular crowd, When they talk about you the most, They don't know what its like, To live in your world, They have no idea about what goes on, Behind closed doors, Your parents are alcoholics, They hardly ever notice your there, And when he comes in late at night, You try and act like you don't care, When morning comes, You wipe away your tears, Cover up your bruises, And hope the scars will heal, Another day at school, Still trying to fit in, Acting like nothings wrong, Holding it all within, When you get home, Your parents are passed out, You take a pill to ease the pain, Hoping it helps you out, Another and another, You think you'll be alright, But you ended up, Passing out that night, Your parents come running in, Ready to give you hell, They see your body lying there, And turn around thinking oh well, So you see not everyone has, The kind of like you think, So stop trying to be someone your not, Cause in the end its not worth a thing!
