One Time Remedy

by 19Rusty   Nov 24, 2007

There's some dark, with little light,
are you tired, hopefully not on this night,
I've seen things that have blown and passed
over, but all I want you to do is listen,
you've done your part, because God still
lives and loves on your side.

I'm not long for this world, its the thinking
and closed character life I've chosen, forgive
me, you were the difference of my life and death
situation.

The things you may not want to forget are the things
that take longer to memorize, and if you can see the
picture through, I still go slower, taking it down a couple
frames, making the colors and words come back alive.

How does anybody go through it and make it out,
how do we forgive and still hold hands, when we
are already holding closer to other lives.
We may have pain, but look at
the steps to get out of it and
we're the same.

Just this afternoon I could tell it was
one of those times, where you knew a
miracle took place, but just wasn't known
by hundreds, but thousands who have
grown above us see a connection, too bad
only a few of us can hear their screams.

A part of losing what you want to keep
thinking, isn't good and perfect, doesn't come out
in the clearest of ways, I silently say I've drowned
in mystery, of getting lost, what I can't ever say
is it won't be okay, not ever, and I know its
not fine, but just let me say your ways of
reaching out are touching and is bliss, I listen
to them each day, but I can't be over it and can't
walk away, your too fond of a memory to give away,
you be the first, please you've already taken small
steps to slowly cripple the past days.

    Wow, wow...
This leaves me speechless in a way...
This is the best love poem I've read in a while, it is so deep and filled with truly profound thoughts and brilliant conclusions. Every stanza is original which is excellent. Your descriptions made the whole piece even better, shining through the most vivid imagery that can create such fantastic pictures in the reader's mind.
    Truly greatly done.
    My favorite stanza is:

-The things you may not want to forget are the things
that take longer to memorize, and if you can see the
picture through, I still go slower, taking it down a couple
frames, making the colors and words come back alive.-
