Can you hear them crying? Children dying, In the streets tonight, Can you hear them calling? Soldiers falling, In this world of spite. Do you see them standing? One crash landing, A ghostly beach tonight, Do you hear the mutter? Those who stutter, Lost in this world of might. Do you see the wrong, And carry on, Viewing the world contrite, Do stars still glitter? When life turns bitter, You scream alone in night. Are there too many wrongs, To make it all right? To fix this world of despite, Too many crying, Too many dying, Not enough left to fight? Do you hear them weeping? Innocence sleeping, Lost in the world tonight, This planet of bother, Has drove our dear father, To abandon us in our plight.
