Freak, Freak!

by Teria   Nov 24, 2007

The water drips about the cave- clanking onto my skin. And, the fellow bats screech aloud in sin.

Eek, Eek.

The smell so foul, it turns my stomach- muscles tighten.
And, nerves let lose - now stiff and frightened.

Eek, Eek.
Reek, Reek.

Eyes glare about this place- I can feel the stare.
Motionless blinks move rapidly in glares.

Eek, Eek.
Reek, Reek.
Peek, Peek.

Underground December, so bitterly cold shouts words of wisdom;
"My darling Freak."
And, I stand out within this cave filled with bats and ranky smells.

Eek, Eek.
Reek, Reek.
Peek, Peek.
Freak, Freak!

I can honestly say I haven't read a poem quite like this one before, but I'm sure it is a good thing. Very unique in many ways and the imagery was excellent, I felt as though I was in the cave with you. EEK EKK 5/5 GG23
