Now I've Grown

I stand here laughing,
eventually I can see.
A world I thought for us,
was only meant for me.

There was never a future,
with us as a couple.
The way you treated me,
soon burst that bubble.

I still can't believe,
I took in every word.
Thinking you would change,
cos of what I'd heard.

But I've learnt my lesson,
and from that I've grown.
I know I'm not standing there,
all on my own
