Hanging By A Thread.

Hanging By A Thread.

So calm you'd think depressed;
opposites attract.
Surely it's more than this-
a feeling of security?

For, it's more than you'd think-
hard for me to admit.
So easy to love you deeply;
I've fallen for an ex-boyfriend.
that broke my heart in three.

Cherished words that in the end,
swallowed me whole.
Burnt a pit within my soul-
from flames created by such anger.

And, I'm hanging by a thread-
standing on the edge.
Ready to slip, ready to fall.
Fall for the one; and I'd like to think-
opposites attract:
so calm you'd think depressed.

    They say opposites attract, but do they really? I mean it's nice to get a change of scenery, but I often feel that edge were about to fall from is a lot further down then we think. Excellent poem I can relate to your words so well. 5/5 GG23

    Really good poem, I can relate to this and I'm sure alot of other people can relate to this as well, many people would still be in love with their ex.
