Life goes faster then you think
So I started thinking back
How everything has changed
Last year I was in High School..
Now I'm finished and working
Looking back on the good ol' days now
I often wonder where; why and how
Where has my life gone
Why does life go by so quick when you get older
How does it happen?
14 years ago I started school, Grade Prep
I was 5 going on 6, and I was also a little kid
Next thing I know it's Grade 6, best time of my life
Same year I found my best friend; Jaimie
From the start to the end, 7 years
Sounds very long doesnt it? But it's not
That 7 years of my life went so quick
Quick as, I remember like it was yesterday
10 Years of age.. wow the greatest thing of all
Is my eldest niece; Alana being born
She's now almost 10 herself.. man!
I remember when she was a baby...
Playing with her, toys, holding her, bathing her
Buying clothes for her, feeding her...
Seems like since she was born, time's just flown
I keep thinking; she's not a little kid anymore
She understands a lot more now
& She's been through exactly what I went through
Into music, fashion, everything now
Imagine when she gets older.. wow!
The thing is she's not the only one......
There's 13 and they just keep on coming!!!

So I blinked again, and it's Year 7.. high school
Making new friends, keepin an old one
Different teachers for every subject
Teachers I hated and teachers I loved
Class with friends making it the best
Failing here and there but I thought it was worth it
If making memories with friends (in my eyes) meant failing... then so be it!
4 years later, time comes for Year 10, the best year yet
Making another new best friend..
Year 10 was the best year ever of high school..
If I could go back to that year I definately would
Especially knowing what I know now.. phwoar!
What was I getting myself into?
So 2 years later I'm finishing school all together
That's a year ago this very day
We all remained friends ofcourse.. nothing changed that
But by the end of January '07'.. most of my friendships came to an end
I still look back now and remember the good ol' times
Wishing I was younger and being a kid again
I look at the happiness.. and the sadness.. all the joys of having friends, and a family!
People ask me something; Would I go back if I could?
No I wouldn't.. life's full of making mistakes!
I've made a lot in my life.. but um no.. I wouldn't go back!
Basically what I'm trying to say is
Life goes by so quick, especially when as you get older
Seems like every time you blink a couple years go by
