Deaths silent song

by Caroline   Nov 25, 2007

A heart full of love

eyes full of hope

a child inside

trying to cope

smiles full of sadness

just two tears

only a few more hours

her family fears

a selfish girl

cant stand the wait

she decides to get out

away from her sisters fate

but when she came home

everyone was crying

she looks at her sister

no longer dying

its not fair

she cant be gone

this isn't real

it hasn't even been long

the girl crys herself to sleep

and dream of that night

every single detail there

every fright

the girl wakes up

from the nightmare, she thinks

she goes to her sisters room

and her heart completely sinks

it was no nightmare

her sister is gone

everyone is quiet

by deaths silent song

eyes now red

every sound becomes a whisper

everything is awkward

since the visit of the reaper

her mom says shes leaving

the girl wonders what she did wrong

her mother is leaving her

he heart sings a sadder song

she doesn't want to do it alone

but telling others hurts so much

she smiles all the time

but she will break from a single touch

numbness would be a blessing

cause her sadness overwhelms everything

she doesn't like being alone

but she wont tell anybody anything

she sits in class

staring off into space

everything around her goes blank

all she wants to do is escape.

This was so emotionally capitavating. Your stanzas stand out clearly, and the images I was getting made me want to burst into tears.
    Very well done.

It's funny how we look at people and our first impression makes us think we instantly know everything about them and there life. It's easy to hide behind a smile, amazing work once again 5/5 GG23
