Curse On Your Lips (Hope They Taste of Me Forever)

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 25, 2007

Forever used to be,
Now a distant thought,
There was no holding on,
No matter how I fought.

Each day your eyes grew weaker,
I knew you didn't care,
I blamed myself for everything,
My mind in disrepair.

But now I'm thinking clearly,
Seeing all you hide,
Drinking in your madness,
I hex those lips that lied.

Always shall they yearn,
And taste my subtle breath,
Never to forget,
Your final thought in death.

If you get to heaven,
By the gates you'll wait,
In hopes I will forgive you,
And forevers not too late.

I think these types of poems are where you really come to life and your talent really shines through.
This line really blew my socks off..
"I hex those lips that lied."

Such a wonderful flow to this piece, the lines and stanzas all just merge into one.

    Wonderful poem.

What a beautiful poem! I especially loved the phrase "Drinking in the madness, I hex those lips that lied." Very dark and poetic. I almost see this piece as being a song. Lovely poem!
