American English V British English?

English.
Such a profound language.
But wait... what is English?

I find Americans strange;
Spelling, meanings, pronunciation
It's all different. From true English.

But they may believe
That their language is true
And we Great Britain - are false.

Is petrol gasoline?
And is the boot actually a trunk?
Are yummy sweets referred as candy?

And is "rubber" a condom?
Or is it an eraser?
Is it fall or autumn?

Which ones right and which are wrong?
Is it colour or color?
Is it centre or center?

And we say we speak English
But which English is ACTUALLY true?
Is It British like me? Is it like you?
